Tools: Balloon, straw, String, Scissors

Newspaper or plastic drop cloth

Lots of recycled materials (cardboard tubes, foam, , plastic bags, sponges, straws, tissue paper, packing peanuts)

 

Students were tasked with creating a capsule to prevent an egg from cracking when dropped from a height greater than 3 meters. (Note: packaging need to look good)  Each group given different resources, if one group have scissors, the rest of the group don’t have. 

 

Debrief: In business environment, our goal is the egg.

Cause/Independent variable is something you can change. 

Best looking package get 3 bonus marks.
